Palm and Passion Sunday

April 10th, 10 am

Sunday service focusing on the dynamics from Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, lauded by crowds with waving palms, to the shadow of betrayal and crucifixion. We'll also welcome the Sunshine Brass Quintet as our guest musicians!

Maundy Thursday

April 14th, 7 pm in the Native Plant Garden (in person only)

A simple worship service of Communion, acoustic music, and optional foot/handwashing in remembrance of Jesus' final gathering with his disciples before he was crucified. In doing so, we experience and re-embody the grace Jesus left his friends with--simple practices to do between one another--to remember what matters most in following his Way.

Good Friday

April 15th, 7 pm in the Sanctuary (hybrid worship)

Joint Service with Pioneer Ocean View UCC

Tenebrae (aka gradual extinguishing of candles) service reflecting on Jesus' final violent hours, and a space to honestly bring our own experiences of despair, anger, grief, and other hard but real emotions we often don't have a place to express.

We will enter that valley of the shadow of death together, and end with a note of choosing love, justice, and grace even in the face of the worst our kind can do.

Easter Prayer Vigil

Begins April 15th at 8 pm, completes April 17th at 9 am

A tradition at The Table UCCLM, we hold a simple and solemn watch in the hours between Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. We remember that, while we know the end of the story, those who knew and mourned Jesus felt grief and uncertainty during this in-between time. So, in a sort of prayer-relay, our church folks sign up for hour shifts to be in contemplation, meditation, and prayer. You can do this at home, or come to church. Sign-ups for time slots here.

Easter Sunday

Easter Celebration Service and Easter Egg Hunt

April 17th, 10 am and right after worship

A service celebrating Jesus' resurrection in which death lost its power and hold on him; on us; on our world. We affirm the truth of the incessant power of life and love, no matter what. We'll also welcome special musical guests in a string quartet!

Immediately following worship, our kids are invited to an Easter Egg hunt on our church grounds as well!
