We are church that feels welcoming the moment you come through the door; a church that offers inclusion; a progressive community of faith that is theologically diverse; genuinely spiritual and justice seeking! If you're looking for a church that takes the bible seriously but not literally, a church that helps you explore and live faith in a safe, all-questions-are-valid setting, stop by. At The Table – United Church of Christ of La Mesa we welcome everyone. Come and join us for Worship at 10 AM every Sunday, come just as you are, you are welcome here.

Who is at 'The Table – United Church of Christ of La Mesa'?

We are a multigenerational congregation. Children are welcome! Our children worship with us for the first part of the service – – then they may leave for Sunday School. We also have a nursery if you wish to use it. We are an open and affirming church, where everyone is cherished and welcome. We are retired people, homemakers and construction workers, we are engineers and salespeople, we are lawyers and architects, we are artists and writers, we are teachers and students, and we are young and old. We come from different backgrounds but we are all seeking God's word in a safe community. While we do not all think or believe exactly the same things, we are united by the love of God and a vision of greater hope for our world. Our church is a community of friends who gather seeking God's plan for us as well as our local and world communities. Growing together, we worship, learn, serve together, and we seek justice together. Our perspective is global, not provincial. We work with—not against—people of other faiths. We think it makes us stronger. We know it makes us happier. Why? Because God is still speaking!
