Our primary form of Adult Education is Bible Study, led by Pastor Kelly Ryan on Tuesday nights 6:00 to 7:00 PM. We enjoy lively conversation based on scripture; compare and contrast various versions of the Bible in an effort to find meaning – bring your version and dive in!
Please check our calendar for current Bible Study series.
Children begin in worship at 10 am, then have the option of attending Church School or staying with their families in the Sanctuary.
In Sunday School children and adults come together study the Bible and explore the themes of the Christian faith, particularly in practices of love and helping others.
Sundays during Worship – Youth are included in the worship service with adults in the Sanctuary, they leave to the youth room after the Children’s Time. On the first Sunday of each month the Youth remain in the Sanctuary for the entire service and participate in communion.
Youth enjoy fun activities, along with creative and safe faith based learning and spiritual growth experiences. We offer Sunday morning and meaningful activities involving the Youth Group; which may include a Mission Trip; and coordinate with the San Diego United Church of Christ Partnership youth group for additional activities.
Confirmation is an opportunity for high-school-aged youth to explore what it means to make a commitment to Christian community. They learn to connect the historical accounts of the Christian faith to their everyday life patterns in meaningful ways. They offer service to people in need and to the church community as a whole. At the end of the confirmation class, Confirmands are invited to make a commitment to the community and to join their church.
We welcome high-school aged youth wishing to be confirmed, even if they are not currently connected to this congregation.
Please contact the office for more information on the next class.
