The Reverend Paula J. Elizabeth – Senior Minister
Our minister, The Reverend Paula J. Elizabeth is a United Church of Christ ordained minister, specializing in transitional/intentional interim ministry. She is also a Spiritual Director with over 20 years experience having been taught in the Jesuit tradition of inclusivity and openness.
Rev. Paula holds a master’s degree in counseling with a specialty in trauma, grief and loss . Other credentials are in mediation, coaching and restorative justice. Rev. Elizabeth also serves on the Church and Ministry Committee for the Southern Association of the Southern California Nevada Conference.
Musician Piano and Organ: Valerie Victor – Valerie a professional piano accompanist since age 10 and an organist since 14, is a national treasure right in our midst! She has been the accompanist for piano and organ at The Table for almost 50 years! It will be 50 in June 2017! During her professional career Valerie has served as accompanist to a number of coral groups and assisted in many theater productions. She is currently employed at a middle school in El Cajon to accompany the theater class.
Choir Director: Shelby Condray – Shelby brings joyful spirit to our services through his work as music director and choral conductor. He has performed around the globe as a singer and has extensive experience in planning and leading worship music. He has a masters in music from Yale and a masters of divinity from Boston University, tools he applies weekly in his work here at The Table UCC La Mesa. One of his major aims at La Mesa is to increase the diversity of the music we perform and ensure that we integrate it closely with the rest of the service. Music should flow like spirit throughout the service, stirring emotions and revealing God alive and present in our midst. Shelby moved from Boston to San Diego in 2015 to escape winter. He loves year-round beach days, hiking and nature photography, seafood tacos, and singing classic hits from the American Songbook at local piano bars.
Dick Hatch is our current Church Moderator for 2017.

Care is the primary mission of the church. We care for each other and the community through our prayers, by visiting one another in times of distress and through counseling sessions with our Pastor. Matt Hanson is the newest addition to our Administration team. Matt enjoys singing Baritone in the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus, as well as playing team dodge-ball and kickball.
